Appalachian Building Supply is a family-run business based in Knoxville, Tennessee. For the Gifford Family, business has always been a family affair, with three children growing up in and around their businesses and around job sites of custom pools, decks and homebuilding projects. The family decided to transplant from Florida in 2000, and invited along with their two sons and their wives, the grand kids, a more than few dogs. Instead of resting in the hills of Eastern Tennessee, they put their experience back to work on what they love and started several businesses and haven’t looked back, except on some of those really cold winter days.

When working on custom builds, the family often struggled to find the high quality products and materials they desired, which inspired them to establish Appalachian Building Supply to help other builders in the shadow of the Smokies quickly find the the best materials for the best possible prices.
